A Home Based Business
Might Just Be
The Best Choice For YOU!
There are tremendous advantages to a home based business!
Here are a few off the top of my head:
• You can have total freedom of scheduling.
• Your home based business overhead expenses are very low.
• You can deduct part of your household expenses on your income tax.
• You can work long and hard whenever the spirit moves you.
• You can take breaks from your home business with people you love.
• You get to work for a great boss! :)
• You're free to work as quietly or as noisily as you wish.
• You get to own your own life rather than renting it out to others.
However, there can be significant downsides to a home based business:
• You have freedom of scheduling - but keep putting off the hard work.
• Your home business overhead expenses are very low - but that lulls you into thinking you don't have to work as hard to succeed.
• You deduct part of your household expenses on your tax return - but you fudge the numbers and undermine your own character.
• You work hard at your home business when the spirit moves you - but it doesn't move you as much as when you were working for someone else!
• You take breaks with loved ones - but those breaks kill your work day ("Honey, let's go out for coffee today! And while we're out we can . . ."
• You work for a great boss - but your boss doesn't put any pressure on you to actually work! :(
• You can work as quietly or noisily as you wish - but you mistake having a nice working environment for having arrived at your destination.
• You own your own life - but you don't bother looking ahead much and so your home business drifts onto the rocks.
Here are some of the things I personally like best about having my own home based internet marketing business:
• For me, the best reason is that I get to spend more time with my beloved family. I can take a break and see them whenever I wish.
• I naturally wake up early every day. So I like to roll right out of bed and go to the "office" around 5 am.
• If I want to start at 3:30 am and be finished by noon, that's okay.
• If I'm really into the work and want to put in a 12-hour day, I can do that. (Hmmm. Sometimes I think I should do that more often!)
• I have control over my office space. I can mess it up, chill it down, dim the lights, listen to celtic music, whatever.
• I can work by the open window in the winter and enjoy the crisp, refreshing Colorado air. (At least for a little while, then brrr!)
• Because my home business website is online 24/7, I can be earning money while I sleep or go on vacation.
• The boss is usually friendly (but sometimes kinda pushy)! :)
• Scariest, but best of all, owning a home based business forces me to take charge of my own motivation, my thinking, my work habits, etc.
So in my opinion, having your own home based internet marketing business is the best kind of business to have!
