Making money is the difference between a "business" and a "hobby" or "charity." Making a decent profit is the difference between a successful business and a flop. So let's keep this in mind. One of the main reasons for building any business is to make a healthy profit. Because if the business doesn't make a decent profit, it'll wither. Motivation and enthusiasm will dry up, and corners will get cut. It dies a long, slow death. And the customers also lose out. Two absolutely-core reasons for having a business: It's a vehicle for meeting other people's needs by means of the goods and services your business sells. It's a vehicle for meeting your own needs to be productive, to be in control of your own life, and to make decent money.
