Would You Rather Work FROM Home Without STAYING At Home?
Do you prefer the idea of being able to work FROM home, but don't much care for being in the house a lot? Or would you rather have a "Real Job" that you can Work AT Home, happily spending much of your time in your own home? These days, my main personal interest is building my own business using the Internet and working AT home. I like the idea of being my own boss. And I also like being home where I can interact with our family. (I'm actually crazy about each and every one of them. :) In the past, however, I've done work AT home for other people, both online and offline. I've spent a lot of time working as a highly specialized content editor of books, articles, manuals, etc. I've done that as a regular full-time job, and also as a freelancer. Before that, I worked FROM home as an independent contractor. In my first contracting business, I did custom home remodeling. Later, I took up landscape gardening in upscale neighborhoods. (Gardening was surprisingly fun – lot's of fresh air, sunshine, and exercise, while quietly working in very nice surroundings. Home remodeling often paid better, but there were more headaches.) Getting a "Real Job" to work AT home does have advantages. You have an employer who makes the major decisions. You get a regular paycheck. There may be fellow workers to interact with. It also offers the advantage that your tasks are usually clearly defined. One of the best sources I've found for such work AT home jobs is
Home Job Stop.
They are "The Internet's Leading Work From Home Job Bank" and offer a wide variety of jobs and areas of interest. They carefully screen the jobs they post to weed out schemes and misleading businesses. On the other hand, working FROM home gives you the advantage of being your own boss, creating your own "dream job," and keeping all of the profits. (I like that part!) If you want to explore some ideas for working FROM home, here's a site that specializes in
legitimate home business ideas.
You'll find a good variety of tips and ideas. And the author has had first-hand experience with most of the businesses he recommends.
